Inspired by the death of Ray Davies' sister, and also a trip to India.
Tuning:
Original single version is tuned a half step flat of standard tuning,
or was in concert pitch but the backing tape was slowed slightly.
To emulate the Indian feel, slide up from all the D5 to the E5 chords.
Use the chord shapes shown at the bottom of the page,
which have lots of open E string to create something of the feel of the
sitar style drone of the song.
On the Bmadd11/F# and F#m11 I've indicted not to play the bottom E,
just to add more emphasis to the 5th string notes,
but it doesn't matter, if you find it easier to play all the strings.
