Notes.
1. This was a 1977 German release, 12': RCA / PC-9821 (GER),
’’Heroes''/''Helden'' (English/German version) ’ 6:09.

2. ’Guitarist Robert Fripp of King Crimson provided a harder-edged sound on ’Heroes.’ Quotation marks
were used around the title to express irony. Like ’Low,’ ’Heroes’ was recorded at Hansa Studios,
known at the time as ’Hansa by the Wallâ?ť for its proximity to the imposing structure that divided
West from East Berlin. The view from the control room would inspire Bowie to write the title track.

3. Depending on your preference, the timbre of the guitar sounds more suitably sonorous, with strummed
chords in the second position.
4. I’ll provide the English translation, if required? :-R
