'I play this in DADGAD tuning, in D position, capoed at the seventh fret. It's a nice tuning
for ringing, open chords. In our live version, Dan plays in standard tuning out of G position,
.'
The chords below are basically what Ron has on his website, although the picking patterns I
came up with. I also added the transitional A/C# that Ron included.
Please read Ron's words on 'A Living Prayer'.
Many thanks, Ron
It makes me sick how much easier this is rather than my prior post. Oh well, that's why Ron
is on tour with Alison Krauss and I'm not....
Tuning: DADGAD,
Fret positions relative to capo - chords are absolute

In this world I walk alone

With no place to call my home

But theres one who holds my hand

The rugged road through barren lands

The way is dark the road is steep

But He's become my eyes to see
EAA/C#D
The strength to climb my griefs to bear

The Savior lives inside me there

In You're love I find release
E/G#F#mDE
A haven from my unbelief
AA/C#D
Take my life and let me be
AEA
A living prayer my God to Thee
In these trials of life I find
Another voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives
In You're love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer my God to Thee
Take my life and let me be
a living prayer my God to Thee
